How do VR Headsets Work?

VR Headsets allow you to view the 360° virtual tours in VR form by projecting the images onto your eyes thus creating a very real feeling of "being there." The tours are split into 2 separte feeds, one into each eye. Currently there are 2 types of inexpesive headsets that utilize your cell phone. These are:

Samsung Gear VR

Samsung Gear VR is a high-quality VR headset that runs using Samsung's smart phone devices. The quality is superb, perfect for the tours that presented on this site. Using the phones built-in accelerometer you are able to move your head, giving you the feeling that you are really there.

Google CardboardGoogle Carboard

Google Carboard VR Headsets work in a similar way to Samsung Gear VR, although the quality is less due to the different build. Some of the Cardboard headsets are exactly that, made of carboard that come flat packed or partially constructed. By inserting your smart phone and visitig a tour, you are transformed to the location in complete virtual reality.
